I teach weekly morning classes in Bexhill, Battle and Whatlington. I also have an evening class in Whatlington. Classes can be booked online or paid for by bank transfer, paypal or cash whatever is best for you.
Monday Morning Yoga
St Stephens Hall. Bexhill. 10am to 11.15am.
Slow mindful yoga, emphasis is placed on moving with awareness into yoga asanas. Listening to your body and working at a gentle pace. We work with breath and movement. We start with some gentle warm ups and breathing to wake us up. I often include some self massage. We work on strength, balance and coordination. We work on gentle stretching which can be done on the floor or a chair if needed. I can help you adapt the practice to suit your body and any health condition that you may have.
We usually finish the practice with legs on a chair or legs up the wall. I encourage some easy gentle breathing to calm the nervous system. We also do pranayama before a lovely relaxation practice to finish.
St Stephens hall is very warm and welcoming. There is a car park outside the church and plenty of street parking.
Please wear loose comfortable clothing. Have an early light breakfast. Please bring a mat and a blanket.

Tuesday Evening yoga
Whatlington Village Hall.
6.30pm to 7.45pm.
Emphasis is on unwinding and letting go of stress and tension that everyday life brings. This helps our nervous system to become more balanced. This can help to have a more restful sleep. This practice will also help encourage our immune system to function as we learn to relax and let go of tension and anxiety.
This class is usually floor based. We start with a short relaxation with some gentle tension release and stretching to let go of the day.
We then work on some warm ups, some self massage and joint freeing exercises. We usually work on some gentle breath based sequences before some easy winding down asanas. I teach some pranayama and a short mantra or meditation. The favourite posture is legs up the wall towards the end of the session and then a final relaxation.
This class is suitable for beginners and is not physically demanding more a work in than a work out! Suitable for beginners or if you have been doing yoga for years.
I thread some yoga philosophy into the class in a subtle way.
Please wear layers with extra clothing for the relaxation. The hall is lovely and warm, and cosy. Please bring a mat and a blanket and a small pillow. It is best not to eat directly before the class to get the maximum benefit.

Wednesday morning yoga
St Stephens Hall, Bexhill
9am to 10am.
This is a lovely class to get your day off to a good start. This is a slightly more energetic class than Monday, bur still working on the principal of slow and mindful, breath and movement. Working at your own pace and breath. We usually start with standing asanas to build strength. We take our time to move with grace into and out of a posture until we feel ready to hold and breathe into the asana. Listening to the body at all times. We will do a gentle sequence and usually a balance before some floor practice. I include pranayama, a short meditation or mantra, some gentle inversion and then relaxation.
St Stephens hall is very welcoming and warm. There is a free car park outside the church and also lots of street parking.
Please wear loose comfortable clothing and bring a mat and a blanket. It is best to have breakfast after the class if you can.

Friday Morning yoga

Slow mindful yoga that can be practiced on the floor or chair , or a bit of both. This class will focus on health and wellbeing. A lovely class for beginners or if you have been doing yoga for years. Building on strength, we will learn a new posture and sequence every week. We will work on breath and slow mindful movement to help bring a calming effect on the nervous system. We work on balance and coordination. We do some breathwork and relaxation at the end of the session. This is a fun and friendly class. It’s nice to be part of a growing community of people and to make new friends.
If you have a health condition then this is a suitable class to attend. I have over twenty years of teaching experience and I like to be inclusive.

Saturday Morning yoga
Whatlington Village Hall.
A nourishing class to get the weekend off to a good start. We work on asana practice with a different theme each week. I usually include a sequence, balance some pranayama, inversion and mantra or meditation and relaxation.
This class has been running for just over two years and has a lovely community feel.
Beginners are very welcome. Please wear loose comfortable clothing. please bring a mat, blanket and a pillow/block. It’s best to have breakfast after the class.
Whatlington hall is very warm and welcoming. We have our own car park. Parking is free.
