About

My journey with yoga began when I was fifteen. From the very first class I felt something settle — a sense of stillness and ease that stayed with me and quietly shaped my life. Yoga has been a steady companion ever since.

I began teaching in the early 2000s, initially offering a few general classes each week. In 2003 I started teaching for the MS Society, a role that continues more than twenty years later. Alongside group classes, I also began offering one-to-one sessions in people’s homes for those unable to attend in person. This work has been deeply rewarding and remains an important part of my teaching today.

Over the years I have continued to deepen my training and understanding. In 2012 I completed a full teaching diploma with the British Wheel of Yoga. My classes have always welcomed whoever arrives, and through experience I have worked with people of many ages, abilities, and health conditions.

A growing interest in back care led me to train as a Healthy Lower Back teacher in 2013. This specialist training, funded by the University of York and Arthritis Research UK, has strongly influenced the way I teach and support students, and I have since run many of these 12-week courses.

I am passionate about supporting people through all stages of life. In 2018 I trained as a Birthlight Baby Yoga teacher, completing two courses covering different ages and stages. Having practiced baby yoga with my own children, I have seen first-hand how nurturing this work can be for both babies and parents.

That same year I joined Sara Lee Trust, a local charity supporting people with cancer and life-threatening illness. What began as one weekly class has grown into a large part of my work. I now teach several classes each week at the Therapy Centre in Sidley, as well as online sessions for those who are unable to attend in person.

My teaching is slow, mindful, and adaptable. I aim to create a calm, supportive space where people can move gently, breathe easily, and feel listened to — whatever their circumstances on the day.

I currently teach group classes in Battle, Whatlington, and Bexhill, alongside online classes and an on-demand video membership. I also offer one-to-one and two-to-one sessions from my small home studio, as well as online. More details can be found throughout the website.
